Welcome the New CEO

I am pleased to announce that the Honourable Joe Ceci has accepted the Board's recommendation for the appointment of Darwin Bozek, as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Alberta Pensions Services Corporation effective August 21, 2017.

Currently Darwin is the Senior Assistant Deputy Minister, Alberta Treasury Board and Finance and has worked in public service for 25 years. Prior to this, he held the position of Controller for the Province of Alberta from 2012-2016. Other positions he held include Chief Financial Officer for AIMCo and the City of St. Albert; Assistant Deputy Minister, Strategic and Business Services, Alberta Finance; and auditor for the Office of the Auditor General.

Darwin was chosen for his reputation of having an honest and open leadership style, his vast experience in strategic planning and re-engineering government initiatives, and his track record for collaboration with multiple stakeholders in complex environments. Darwin has significant experience in executive business management, information management, technology and financial services, and has successfully transformed governance systems for cost efficiencies and resource planning. His experience will benefit APS in maintaining effective working relationships with Alberta Treasury Board and Finance, the plan governors, and all stakeholders.
