System Freeze Checklist

March 10, 2016

Hello everyone,
The launch of the new Employer Portal is only a few short months away, and a number of activities are currently underway.

Year-end Reconciliation

We have asked your organizations to close and reconcile by April 30. and you have responded. As of the first week in March. 423 employers have closed and reconciled their year-end. I would like to extend our thanks on behalf of APS for assisting in this close period. to make way for the new Employer Portal.

For those of you who continue to reconcile, Employer Services representatives are ready to assist with anything you may need. Please feel free to reach out if you require any assistance.

Training

Our training team has been busy preparing to deliver both in classroom and webinar training sessions around the province. which begin on April 5.

System Freeze

As you are aware, leading up to the Go Live on May 30, we will be issuing a system freeze that will affect your day-to-day operations. The freeze will last for ten business days, from May 17 - May 31.
In order to prepare for Go Live, earlier this week, we distributed a checklist of activities that outlines your responsibilities leading up to and during the system freeze, as well as post Go Live.
Completing the checklist items will help your organization through the system upgrade, and ensure operations continue with as little interruption as possible.
If you did not receive this checklist, please contact your employer services representative. It can also be found on EOS.

Please Note:

During the system freeze, the Employer Online Services will not be available for use, however the following activities must still take place:

  • 1. Please continue to remit money on a pay period basis, as due date penalties will still apply.
  • 2. Please track the details of your pay period payments during the system freeze
  • 3. Please download all reports you would like to keep from EOS.

Sincerely,
Troy Diakow
