2009 Member Annual Statements

February 3, 2010 - Each year, Alberta Pensions Services Corporation (APS) sends you a Member Annual Statement (MAS) on behalf of your pension plan. In recognition of employers who send in year-end, reconciled member information, APS is committed to providing statements to members within 30 days of the employer submitting the information.

The statement is a snapshot of your pension information to the end of 2009. Based on your feedback, the MAS has been newly revised. Changes to the statements include:

  • a clean, crisp design;
  • clear, concise information;
  • personalized content;
  • a graphic illustrating the value of your defined benefit pension plan;
  • new options available on mypensionplan, your secure member website, including changing contact information and updating beneficiary information online (starting this spring); and
  • "going green" to sign up and receive e-mail notification when your statement is available online (also available this spring). If you choose this option, you will not receive a paper statement in the mail.

When you receive your MAS, make sure to review your personal information carefully. If your information needs updating, or if you have questions about your statement, you can log in to mypensionplan or contact the Member Services Centre.

Did you know you can visit mypensionplan to update your contact information, view your beneficiary information, or complete online calculations to estimate your current and future pension? This spring, you'll be able to update your beneficiary information and sign up to "go green".
