Doug joined APS in January 2010. Doug has over 25 years of progressive experience in the financial industry, including international experience and a strong assurance background to APS. Doug is a Chartered Accountant (CA), a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and has a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation.
Amrita joined APS in August 2019 in a leadership capacity in Finance. She is an experienced Chartered Accountant and Certified Public Accountant with over 28 years of finance, audit, and leadership experience. Amrita has extensive experience in financial roles with a large public utility company, has held senior management positions in both the United States and Canada at one of the largest global professional service providers, and, early in her career, gained experience at the Office of the Auditor General (Alberta).
Tamara Janzen

Tamara joined APS in March 2011 in the Human Resources department and has been a member of the Executive Team since 2013. She has over 30 years of management experience and has worked in all facets of human resources. Tamara has an MBA in Executive Management from Royal Roads University.
Vladimir (Vlad) Ahmad is the Vice President of Pensions Services at Alberta Pensions Services. As the VP of Pensions Services, Vlad is responsible for managing the following groups Client Operations, Employer Services, Member Services Centre, Actuarial Services and Pensions Policy.
Pensions Services provides support with core administrative services including contributions management, benefit calculations, disbursements to and from employers, members and other pension plans, as well as policy guidance, development and implementation.
Prior to making his way to APS, Vlad had experience working in senior leadership nationally and internationally in the banking and financial services industries. Vlad is committed to driving innovation and excellence in pension services to achieve the strategic goals of APS.
Steven French is the Vice President of Client Relations and Chief Strategy Officer at Alberta Pensions Services Corporation (APS).
Steven came to APS in 2014 with over 30 years of diverse IT experience and was the VP of Information Services and Technology before taking on this new role in late 2024. In this new role, he forms trusted relationships with pension benefits administration clients, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to their success by providing valued pension services. The Client Relations and Strategy division encompasses several critical functions: client relations, communications, strategy development, innovation and business transformation, work intake and prioritization, business planning, project management, and reporting. Furthermore, as the Vice President of Client Relations and Chief Strategy Officer, Steven is tasked with further developing a robust client relationship model, reinforcing the dedication of APS to clients’ success.
Prior to joining APS, Steven held Director positions in both the private and public sector and travelled throughout North America as a highly skilled Senior IT Consultant overseeing the implementations of software solutions for several Fortune 500 companies.
Steven holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation from the Project Management Institute.
Yolanda joined APS as the director of Legal Services in August 2017. Before that time, she spent 34 years in private practice in a large Alberta law firm.
Her experience and expertise in multiple legal disciplines, including pension law, have served her well in appearing before every level of court in Alberta. She holds a certificate in Pension Law and has earned a King’s Counsel designation. She is also a member in good standing of the Law Society of Alberta and the Canadian Bar Association in Pension and Employee Benefits, Health Law, Wills, Estates and Trusts, and Family Law.
