The Alberta Public Agencies Governance Act (APAGA) was proclaimed into force on June 12, 2013. The Act requires that public agencies have a Mandate and Roles Document (MRD) outlining the roles of both the agency and the Minister responsible for the agency.
The Mandate and Roles Document is a true copy of the original signed by the President of Treasury Board and Minister of Finance and the Alberta Pensions Services Corporate Board Chair dated March 27, 2020.
At its meeting on September 17, 2013, the Alberta Pensions Services Corporation (APS) Board of Directors reviewed the final Mandate and Roles Document for APS and passed a resolution approving it.
The President of Treasury Board and Minister of Finance reviewed and signed the final document on October 28, 2013.
